Towson’s Rockin’!
August 23, 2011 by Administrator

If you’re ever in the Towson area on a Friday evening, we highly recommend the Feet on the Street block party, held 6 – 9:30 p.m. on Allegheny between Washington and York Rd. Organized by the Towson Chamber of Commerce, Feet on the Street features a new band every week. Plus, they have activities for kids, including a bouncy castle (remember those? I was so excited until I remembered I’m in my 20′s).  If THAT doesn’t tempt you to go, the VFC van will there on August 26th and September 2nd and 9th. Read more

The Vehicles for Change/WBAL Treasure Hunt!
August 8, 2011 by Administrator

Let me tell you how much fun last week was. Vehicles for Change partnered with WBAL (1090 AM) to have a county-wide treasure hunt. I would drive the van to some undisclosed location and wait while three clues were given out, one every hour for three hours. With the final clue they would also give a phrase that the treasure hunters would need to claim their prize. Then, the first person to find me in the van and tell me the phrase would win $200 in gas! Van About Town
August 2, 2011 by Administrator

This past weekend was a great time for the Art Van. Members of the Vehicles for Change team chauffeured Bob Madigan, WTOP’s Man About Town to various events.

Bob Madigan

Yours truly was able to attend her first swanky party in DC.

The party was to kick of the Legg Mason tennis tournament, and all of the players were mingling with the beautiful people of Washington DC. It took place in the P.O.V. lounge at the W Hotel. That picture of me? Yeah, that’s from the deck at the party. We were also overlooking the White House:

This week we’ve partnered with WBAL 1090 AM to bring their listeners an awesome challenge – the VFC Treasure Hunt! Throughout the week, we’re hiding out in locations around Baltimore County while clues are given during the Afternoon News Journal.

The first person to find us wins a $200 gas card, and let me tell you -there is some serious competition. About three people showed up  within seconds of each other yesterday and were disappointed to hear that someone had just pulled away with that day’s card. They promised to try again later this week, though, and you should, too! Just listen to WBAL 1090 AM from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM for the clues and when you figure out where we are – come find us!

As always, thanks to PNC and Precision Tune for making this all possible!
