Other Vehicle Donations

Vehicle Donation - Not Just for Cars

Vehicles For Change can accept most other forms of transportation other than cars for their vehicle donation program. Other vehicle donations from Maryland, Virginia and Delaware can include:

Motorcycles
Boats
Motor Homes
Trucks
And others

These vehicles are very valuable to VFC since they can be sold at auction for a profit, allowing us to apply 100% of these proceeds toward the cost of repairing donated cars. We personally monitor each transaction at the auction to insure you will receive the highest tax deduction possible for your vehicle. Or, if not sold at auction, some vehicles may be used in other fundraising activities.For instance, we recently used a donated motocycle as part of a raffle drawing.

At Vehicles For Change, the sale of your vehicle will go to good use. The cost to provide one car is $3,850. The source of this funding comes from three sources. First, the recipient pays $1,000 via a 15-month loan through VFC. Second, the sponsoring agency that refers qualified families contributes an average of $1,350 per car. And lastly, VFC internally funds approximately 40 percent, or $1,500 for every vehicle donation. Your vehicle can greatly help us get more cars on the road to those who need them most.
