Her Life Was Service. Her Legacy Still Changes Lives.

At Vehicles for Change, every donated vehiclecarries a story. Some represent a fresh start, others a cherished memory, andmany become a legacy of love and service. The car donation from Shayna in honorof her mother is all of those things.

Shayna’s mother was a remarkable woman whoselife was defined by compassion, resilience, and service to others. A two-timecancer survivor, she faced tremendous challenges with courage and grace. Thoughcancer ultimately took her too soon, her impact on the lives around hercontinues to shine brightly.

She was the kind of person who never met astranger. Warm, caring, and deeply compassionate, she made people feel seen,heard, and valued. Whether offering a listening ear, lending a helping hand, orsimply sharing kindness, she dedicated much of her life to uplifting others.

Her service touched many corners of hercommunity. She taught Body Recall classes, helping seniors improve mobility andindependence. She worked with shelters supporting battered women and children,and with Teamwork for Quality Living, Inc., an organization committed toempowering individuals living in poverty. She also brought joy andencouragement to others through a Christian Clown Troupe in Indiana, where sheperformed under the fitting name “Sweatpea,”  a reflection of her gentlespirit and loving heart. Through laughter, faith, and compassion, she broughtlight to countless people.

Today, her beloved car begins a new chapterthrough Vehicles for Change. What was once her favorite vehicle will now helpprovide another family with the opportunity for reliable transportation,independence, and hope.

We are deeply honored that Shayna chose tocelebrate her mother’s legacy in this meaningful way. Her life was a testamentto serving others, and through this donation, that spirit of generosity willcontinue to change lives for years to come.
