How to Support Vehicles for Change

Donating a car is just one way you can support Vehicles for Change’s mission and help change the life of a low-income family.

Donate funds. Your tax-deductible financial contribution will help us refurbish vehicles for worthy families.

Become a business partner. As a VFC partner, your business or employer will demonstrate its commitment to the community while helping low-income families become self-sufficient.

Become a nonprofit partner. Schools and charities can raise thousands of dollars for their own causes while supporting Vehicles for Change.

Be a vehicle for change – YOU can make a difference!

To make an offline donation toward this cause, follow these steps:
    1. Write a check payable to “Vehicles For Change”
    2. On the memo line of the check, indicate that the donation is for “Vehicles For Change”
    3. Mail your check to:
Vehicles For Change 4111 Washington Blvd. Halethorpe, MD 21227
Your tax-deductible donation is greatly appreciated! Vehicles for Change believes individuals with talent are abundant – it is opportunity that is limited. We are matching those individuals with impactful opportunities via car ownership and automotive training. A car can be a vehicle to end the cycle of poverty. For families without transportation, getting to work, dropping kids off at daycare and medical appointments, and even going grocery shopping is a daunting task. Your donation enables VFC to recondition cars for low-income families in need, while also training ex-offenders, underemployed and unemployed individuals on those same cars, in order to place them in meaningful employment opportunities. Here’s how your contribution can make a difference:
  • $25 covers vehicle cleaning
  • $50 buys a tank of gas
  • $100 pays for a tune-up
  • $200 replaces tires
  • $500 provides brakes, pads and rotors

The holiday season is upon us! Do you know what that means? It means it’s time for Vehicles for Change’s annual Year-End Giving Campaign. COVID-19 has turned the world as we knew it upside down and forced us to adjust to a new way of living.

But, this transition has been even harder for the families we serve at Vehicles for Change.

More than 10 million households in predominantly rural counties do not have access to a vehicle. Rural Americans without transportation face barriers such as access to employment, fresh food to serve their families, access to doctor’s appointments and healthcare and most importantly, maintain a connection with their family and friends.

This holiday season we are calling on you to help VFC support families in need and help build a better, brighter community. With your help, we can raise $50,000 to increase our impact in the community and:

  • Provide donated cars to worthy families
  • Increase workforce training opportunities
  • Open employment opportunities to deserving families and formerly incarcerated men and women.

As a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, all gifts, whether a vehicle or monetary, are tax deductible to the fullest extent by law. Ready to get involved? The first step is easy; choose how you want to support our mission. Donate a car, give a monetary gift, or volunteer to be a VFC Ambassador and engage your network!
