“I recently donated my car to Vehicles for Change through an incentive program with Mazda. I was in a bit of a pickle because, in order to get the incentive for my new vehicle, I had to have my car picked up by the tow company by 7/1 and provide proof that it was picked up. I called and spoke to a couple of people at Vehicles for Change who were all very pleasant but specifically, Simone Baptiste. She completely understood my situation and did everything she could to help me out and get the information I needed. She was very responsive in her communication and an absolute pleasure to work with. She has such a positive attitude and I never felt like I was just another person donating a car.
With everything going on in this world, it’s great to know there are people like out there trying to make a difference. Whether that be through one donated car or one positive experience at a time, its all worth it in the end.”

SCHEDULE A PICK UP
Within 24 hours of receiving your confirmation email, our Tow Coordinator will contact you either by phone or email to schedule your free pick-up of the vehicle

THE PICK UP
Please have the keys, signed title and lien release (if applicable) ready for our tow truck driver.
VFC tows donated vehicles through our in-house towing operation.
Please note: A donation receipt is provided by our tow truck driver at the point of pick up. Thisproof of donation can be used to cancel insurance and assist in returning tags to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
TAX RECEIPT
If the donated car is to be awarded to a family, a tax receipt will be sent within 30 days of the car’s pickup date. If the donated car is sent to be sold a tax receipt will be sent within 30 days of the date of actual date of the sale. If the car is being sold on our retail lot this could take more than a month but it will also generate a much higher tax deduction.
If the donated car is awarded to a family, a tax receipt will be sent within 30 days of the car’s pickup date.
