A Car Donation Gives Father Freedom to Change His Life

Fnu Dawlat, a father of six, has the freedom to accomplish more now that he is the owner of a 2002 Chevrolet Venture.

Depending on others for transportation was often unreliable for Dawlat. “It was hard for me to get to my job on time each day. Between taking the bus and the metro, it took me two and a half hours to get to my job and three hours to get home.”

Commuting will no longer be stressful now that Dawlat has his own set of keys. “A car has saved me 5 hours of my time each day. Now it only takes me 15 minutes to get to work. I will be able to use the extra time to work longer hours so that I can provide my family with more.”

Dawlat is relieved that he will be able to provide his children with the opportunity to be more involved. “My kids would often ask me to take them to the playground or the museum, but I was not able to do that. My kids were very disappointed. From now on, I have the ability to take them to after school activities, such as soccer.”
