Car Donations and Tax Receipts

At Vehicles for Change, donation letters, which describe how your car was used by Vehicles for Change and what you can deduct from your taxes, serves as a tax receipt and is sent according to IRS car donation guidelines.

If a donated car is awarded to a family, the donor will receive a mailed receipt within 30 days of the car’s pick-up date.

If the donated car is sent to auction or sold on the Vehicles for Change retail lot, the donor will receive a mailed tax receipt within 30 days of the date of auction or sale.
