Tax Deduction Paperwork After A Car Donation

If a donated car is awarded to a family, the donor will receive a mailed receipt within 30 days of the car’s pick-up date.

If the donated car is sent to auction or sold on the Vehicles for Change retail lot, the donor will receive a mailed tax receipt within 30 days of the date of auction or sale.

If your donation is valued over $500, you will receive a 1098c along with your donation letter. The form will be filled in with the information that Vehicles for Change is responsible for completing.
