Achieving Success through Car Ownership

Jerrell Fisher, an employee for Schuster Concrete in Washington, D.C., looks forward to a new and improved future. As a resident of the West Baltimore area, commuting to work was a difficult task for Fisher, the recipient of a 1995 Toyota Camry Coupe. Before receiving a donated car through Vehicles for Change, Fisher endured a two hour bus ride to work each day. With a car, his commute is now only 40 minutes.

“The car was clean and pristine when I first received it. Having a car has helped me with small, day-to-day tasks, such as going to the grocery store and spending more time with family.”

Fisher graduated from JumpStart, a construction-training program for Baltimore residents, in February of 2015. Vehicles donated to JumpStart graduates significantly decreases the length of their commute while increasing the stability of their employment.

“A car has opened up a whole new world of opportunities for me. I will now be able to earn more money and inspire others to achieve greatness.”

A car donation has empowered Fisher to get ahead both personally and professionally.
