Car Donation Makes Two Jobs and More Income a Reality

Brandon Jackson relied on public transportation to get to and from work at his job in Detroit. Without a car, Brandon struggled to find better job opportunities with higher pay. He was limited to jobs that were in a convenient distance from his bus route.

In January 2016, Vehicles for Change, in partnership with Wayne Metro Community Action Agency, awarded Brandon a 1997 Honda Civic.

Brandon has become more self-sufficient now that he owns a car. He is able to get to and from work on time while looking for a second part-time job. With a car, Brandon has the freedom to work more and earn more.
