Giving Back to Detroit

Betsy Beltran, her husband and two teenage daughters live in Detroit and struggle to perform everyday tasks without a vehicle. Betsy works as a Parent Organizer for 14 Detroit Public Schools where she trains parent leaders to help the Southwest Detroit community. This job requires her to travel every day for meetings and training sessions. A family member outside of her home drops her off to work, but she needs her own car to perform her role and keep her job
Vehicle ownership will allow Betsy to continue her important role in the community and in the Detroit Public School system. “Every day my job allows me to change a parent’s life, which in turn improves my life,” says Betsy on the impact of having her own vehicle.
